Sinnar. We had reported the incident wherein one leopard had fallen into a well a few days ago. Within one week of the incident another serious leopard attack has taken place. The incident occurred in Thangaon in Sinnar Taluka.

Karan Pawar and his wife Ujwala Pawar had gone to collect twigs and wood in nearby forests approximately six kilometers from Thangaon. The unsuspecting couple was attacked by a leopard. The leopard managed to bite a portion off from Karan’s hand. After seeing her husband being attacked by the leopard Ujwala struck the leopard with sticks. Having been distracted the leopard turned his fury at Ujwala. Ujwala started to run but fell down below a huge rock and fractured both the feet.

In the meanwhile the leopard managed to flee. Karan trekked back to Thangaon and sought help of the villagers. The matter has been reported to the forest authorities.
